Chris Wells is an award-winning writer, actor, teacher and community leader.
As an actor, he’s performed on stages all around the country. Chris’s original work draws heavily from the cabaret medium, combining music, storytelling and radical engagement with his audience. In 2007, Chris founded The Secret City, a non profit arts organization dedicated to fostering community through the arts and celebrating the work of individual artists. The Secret City presents dynamic community art celebrations in New York, LA, Woodstock and beyond. Every Monday night, Chris hosts The ArtLife, a weekly radio show which shines a light on the special people who identify as artists, and provides inspiration to those who turn to the arts for meaning. Chris lives with his husband, the painter Robert Lucy, in the Byrdcliffe Artist Colony in Woodstock.
