Fishing Rod Building Basics

Join us for a 2-evening class to learn the basics of rod building. Instructor Michael Puryear will demonstrate how a set of rod blanks becomes a working rod. Steps include installing the grip and reel seat, and wrapping on the guides and topping it off with the tip-top. This class is a great opportunity for any fisherman who has considered building a custom rod. The techniques learned in this class can be used to build any rod type from fly fishing to spinning rods.
