I was joined tonight by Gentian Falstrom, the Land Project Manager at Westchester Land Trust (WLT), where she leads land protection projects throughout Westchester and eastern Putnam Counties. WLT preserves land in perpetuity through acquisition, conservation easements and partnerships with municipalities and other organizations. Gentian is also the chair of the Bedford Conservation Board, which advises local regulatory boards and provides recommendations on proposed projects, plans and policies to drive environmentally sound decisions for the community. In this role she also leads the DEC's Amphibian Migrations and Road Crossings Project for the town of Bedford. Gentian has worked in the environmental field for a short time, but has a background in public service and a master's degree in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy.

We started off talking about what the land is giving to us right now in our lives and explored what land means and ways that we can each get involved.
