Tonight's guest Russell Wallack is the founding farmer and co-owner of Breadtree Farms. We spoke about everything from our own personal stories with trees, to what agrofoestry and other terms mean to the deeper history and connection that humans before us and many still, especially in the global South have with these special beings we call trees.

Breadtree works with over 600 acres of land in Northern New York State, managing these lands as chestnut silvopasture systems, and maple/hickory forest farming systems. Our work is proving the business case for this diversified perennial system, providing land-access to other fledging agroforestry enterprises, and creating paid educational opportunities for new and/or young agroforesters.
