We kick it off with a mini-discussion on periods of intentional silence we have experienced. Then Micah and Helene are joined by Joshua Cohen of Partners for Climate Action who describes a growing network that brings together people dedicated to climate action in the Hudson Valley. We address how we can help build the kind of local momentum we need to deal with climate change.

Joshua Cohen works with Partners for Climate Action Hudson Valley and directs the Hudson Valley Climate Action Network (HVCAN), a community of grassroots leaders, nonprofit organizers, educators, policymakers and businesses leading together on climate action. Dedicated to community building, knowledge sharing, and accelerated action, HVCAN supports equitable, local solutions in the Hudson Valley.

Joshua has nearly 25 years of experience in environmental program management, strategic partnership development, and advocacy campaigns, from organizing communities across the state to help pass New York’s nation-leading Climate Act, to conducting public health research that informed policy in New York City, to educating community gardeners on how to compost in Brooklyn. He lives in Hudson, NY.
