In this week's episode of Family Time, Family's Executive Director, Michael Berg, and Family's Ulster County Re-Entry Coordinator/Case Manager, John Colon, discuss Reentry Services provided by Family, the systems we navigate as a community, and the challenges those who are reentering the community from incarceration face.

In 2022, Family's Reentry Program provided re-entry assistance to 32 individuals determined to be at high-risk by the NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services. This program assisted these individuals to return to our community from the prison system. They were provided with the necessary supports that enable them to succeed and contribute in a productive and meaningful manner to society. Outcomes included: 5 individuals gained employment; 1 individual was linked to employment or educational/vocational training; 32 were assisted with housing; 28 participated in substance abuse treatment or self-help support groups; 19 participated in treatment for Mental Health issues; 30 were assisted with entitlements; 9 participated in cognitive behavioral therapy groups; 12 completed the Interactive Journaling program; and 10 started anger management with 6 completing the program.
