We talk about the different versions of the Bamba from two different perspectives, that of rural life with Son Jarocho and the migrant one with the Chicano border culture. We remember Ritchie Valens's legacy -a young Mexican-American artist from the 40s who achieved worldwide recognition- as well as shine some light on other important figures who have given life to La Bamba through the years, like Andres Vega Delfin. La Bamba is folk music that is dated back almost four centuries and it is music that has given many different generations the opportunity to celebrate life, music, and community through time and space.
