50 Rondout Landing, Kingston
Spend the day on the Rondout Creek learning woodworking at the Hudson River Maritime Museum Wooden Boat School!
Join us for this unique and fascinating 2-day class as you learn to cut, bend, and tack your own Shaker oval boxes, then peg and glue in the bottom and top. This class takes place on Saturday, August 14 and Saturday, August 21. Each student will make four different sized boxes to take home. Each box will be built from a different species of wood. The first day of class will begin with a brief history of this craft and the projects will be started. The boxes will be finished one week later on the second day of class.
