Good Thursday friends! Today at La Voz with Mariel Fiori is a day of entertainment and the environment.
In the midst of the Woodstock Film Festival, we were visited by Elisabeth Mohlmann, one of the directors of Mama Irene, Healer of the Andes, and Franz Zavala, director of photography. Tickets to see this documentary today are sold out, but Elisabeth told us that it will be available online in November.
We also met the filmmakers nominated for an Emmy, for their documentary My so-called High School Rank, Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg, which has its world premiere tomorrow, Friday at 3:45pm, and Saturday at 9:15am at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, as part of the Film Festival.
Nydia Gutiérrez, of Earth Justice and the Last Mile Coalition, told us about the petition to New York City to change the zoning code that regulates delivery truck facilities in the last mile of the distribution process, where low-income, racialized communities live, resulting in unsafe, polluted, and congested streets.
I also gave you more ideas for the weekend.
